Calendar
How the calendar view shows categories — expense-first ordering, child categories vs groups, and the premium future projection.
The Calendar settings control how Bluecoins’ calendar view displays categories. Open the app drawer, tap Settings, then Calendar.
Category display
- Show expense categories first — list expense categories ahead of income categories when you pick a category in the calendar view.
- Switch to show category instead of category group — show the child category you selected instead of the parent group it belongs to.
Both are simple switches, and they only affect how categories are presented in the calendar — your transactions and categories are never modified.
Advanced
- Future Projection — a premium switch that turns on the future projection in the calendar’s chart. Turning it on without Premium opens the upgrade screen instead.
Where you see this
The calendar view itself is a monthly grid with daily totals — you reach it from the Calendar tab or the calendar report, and it is the same calendar surface the app’s other reports can drill into. The settings above just change how its category lists and chart behave.
Health advice
If you mostly track expenses, enable “Show expense categories first” so the list starts with what you use. If your categories are nested, enable the category-switch to see the specific category instead of the group — it makes picking the right category faster and reduces mispostings.
