Notifications
Daily and due-bill reminders, credit-card due reminders, and push/SMS auto-logging of bank transactions.
The Phone Notification screen is the entry point for two kinds of notifications: reminders (daily, due bills, credit cards) and automatic transaction logging from banking push notifications or SMS. Open the app drawer, tap Settings, then Phone Notification.
Getting started
The screen shows two rows — Reminders and Push Notifications / SMS Banking — plus a Grant notification permission button when Bluecoins does not yet have notification permission. The rows stay disabled until the permission is granted.
Reminders
The Reminders screen holds the reminder schedule:
- Daily Reminder — notifies you when no transaction has been logged in the last 24 hours. Set the time it fires.
- Due Bills & Reminders — notifies when your scheduled reminders are due.
- Credit Card Reminder — notifies when credit-card bills are due.
- Additional Notification — how long before the due date to remind you: on the due date, a day before, or up to 15 days before.
See the reminders guide for creating the recurring transactions these reminders track.
Push notifications and SMS banking
The push screen auto-creates transactions from notifications and SMS:
- Enable push notifications — turns on notification listening. Requires Android notification access (Bluecoins takes you to the system setting). This is a premium feature.
- Check SMS notifications — read banking SMS. You can check all incoming SMS, or add specific senders and names (from your contacts) to match only those.
- Copy to notes — copy the notification text into the logged transaction’s notes.
- Add application to check for transaction — pick apps from the installed-apps list; each app can have a default account and category, so auto-logged transactions land in the right place without editing.
Bluecoins reads the notification text only — it never stores bank credentials. See the bank-notifications guide for the full workflow.
Health advice
Grant notification permission first — every option below it stays disabled until you do. Then set a default account and category for each banking app you add, so auto-logged transactions are bookkept correctly with zero cleanup.
