Does Bluecoins connect to my bank?

No. Bluecoins never logs into your bank and never stores bank credentials. To save you typing, it can read push notifications from banking apps and SMS and create the transactions for you — the phone is the data source, and nothing is sent anywhere on your behalf. Is there a web app?

No — Bluecoins is a phone app, and there is no web or desktop version. Your data lives on your device, backs up to your own Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive account, and the app works offline. See online sync for how backups and sharing work.

Is there an iOS version?

Yes. Bluecoins for iOS shipped in December 2022 and is available on the App Store.

Is Bluecoins free? Is there a subscription?

Bluecoins is free with ads. Premium is a one-time purchase that removes ads and unlocks the premium features — there is no subscription.

Are transfers counted as expenses?

No. Transfers move money between your own accounts and are recorded as transfers — a separate transaction type from income and expenses — so they are not counted as expenses. See the transactions guide for the three transaction types.

These answers appeared on earlier Bluecoins sites and are not used here because the app changed:

• “An iOS app is on the roadmap” — outdated. iOS shipped in December 2022 and is live on the App Store.
• “35 languages” — outdated. The app supports 40 locales; see language and translations.
• Bank notifications described as SMS-only — outdated. v13 also reads push notifications from banking apps, alongside SMS.
